For several years I was a retained science writer for the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, researching and writing short articles to explain the breadth of work supported by the council. I also contributed to many publications produced by the EPSRC, including their regular magazine Newsline, and the annual report. I edited the newsletter of the council's Life Sciences Interface programme.
